Espero. I wait. I hope.

Espero Authors July 27, 2008

All around us there are incredible people, both guys and ladies who have an encouraging word and a fresh perspective. Here at Espero, we love to involve our friends who share the same passion for reaching our generation. We are excited to give a voice to these people and we know they will prove to be huge impacts on your life.

Julie Dennen

Julie is excited to have the opportunity to share part of her life with young women who will read her blog and hopes to spur them on to wait upon the passionate Pursuer of their hearts and Lover of their souls. Her own relationship with Jesus Christ has taken precedence over everything else in her life and she desires to encourage and challenge others to discover the freedom and joy that comes with a relationship with Jesus. As a college sophomore, Julie doesn’t have much empty time in her days, but when she has spare moments she takes full advantage of them! Julie enjoys running, singing, playing volleyball, and taking a million pictures (about 1 out of 30 will actually turn out to be something decent.) Her passion for Christ has caused her to seek Him first and His will for her future instead of her own. At the time she feels strongly called towards missions and is waiting patiently (sort of) for God to guide her next steps in that direction.

Anna Morgan

Anna Morgan

Anna is very excited at the opportunity to write for Espero. She passionately loves God and gladly accepts any opportunity to talk about His amazing love. She LOVES learning about other cultures and languages and wishes to travel to other countries could be her occupation. One of her dream jobs is to translate the Bible into numerous languages. She will begin graduate school this fall for a degree in linguistics. While school, family, church family, and friends keep her very busy, she always wants to have time to talk about the reason she exists. She desires to see young women live pure lives that are full of purpose. She believes that being single is not equated with dormancy, but while waiting for the man God has chosen, young women can explore their possibilities and live vibrant, ambitious lives.

Miranda Mack

Miranda Mack

Miranda Charity Mack is a recent graduate of the Florida State University where she earned a B.S. in Exercise Science. She is currently applying to medical school with the overall aspiration of becoming a pediatrician. Throughout her collegiate career, she devoted much of her time to volunteering in her local community hospital and as a certified peer health educator. As a member of the Church of God in Christ, she sings in her local church choir and is a member of the health ministry in her church district. She is also a regular writer for the Big Bend District COGIC Women’s Newsletter. For Miranda, there is no greater accomplishment than to live a life of complete servitude to God and others. She has an insatiable hunger and thirst for God that outweighs any other passion or pursuit in her life. She mentors countless young women and can feel God drawing her into a ministry directed towards women. I am ecstatic to have the opportunity to share my thoughts, feelings and to witness to young women about God and the dynamic impact having a life that focuses on pleasing Him can have. We all desire to go to Heaven, but we mustn’t overlook the fact that we can have an abundant, fulfilling life here on earth as well!”
