Hey everyone! And thanks for checking out the Espero Fashion Guide! I hope that these few tips and helpful guides help you in looking amazing. We all know that summer is almost over and the fall is almost here and with fall comes school again. whether you’re in middle or high school or even college we can tend to get overwhelmed when it comes down to shopping for fall. But I’m going to show you some top secrets on how to switch your summer clothes and make them work for fall!! We think that we need to go out and shop again but there are some summer dresses and skirts that you can use for fall and I’m going to show you how!
Bethany says: “Fall is all about contrasting dark, bright and neutral colors together. You can use the brightest of colors but contrast them well with something else. In my first outfit here we have a nice neutral colored skirt with a brown comfortable thick tank top covered with a bright orange, multicolored, cardigan hooded sweater which is worn with a great chocolate dark brown flat that is closed all the way around.
- Pick complimentary colors and patterns
- A great back-to-school sweater
- A fun khaki skirt with pleats!
- No crawl hemline
- A great pair of flats!
The sweater is great! It’s one of my favorite parts of the entire outfit. It has such a bright color to it. The sweater is a cardigan sweater which is different from all others. It falls comfortably to your waist and doesn’t bunch up and it has a great V-neck. It has a great multi colored pattern that gives it a fun sense of creativity. It has a fun hood and the longer sleeves are great for the cooler days of fall. You can’t go wrong with this great kind of material and color contrast.
The Skirt: Looking for the right fit can also be a hassle sometimes. Keep a eye out for stress lines across the front area and your hips. If there are stress lines all across your skirt is either to small or too snug. To prevent those stress lines, try a bigger size or you can try skirts that have pleats that eliminate stress lines with a fashionable look. Here I have on a pleated skirt. Its is the most comfortable skirt I’ve ever had on. No lie. the pleats give me much room to move around and I don’t have to worry about it being snug or too tight. It also passes the sit test and it falls right to my knee.
Chair Rule: When you try a skirt on, its different in length when you’re standing up compared when you’re sitting down. In other words the length of the skirt gets shorter. So, to help you find a good length in a skirt use a chair and sit in front of a mirror or have a your mom or girl friend to be one for you. I sometimes do it myself. All you do is you sit in a chair, and look at how much length your skirt comes up your leg. You don’t want a skirt to be too short when you stand up, because when you SIT down, that changes big time! Keep a good length to your skirt. It will make you more comfortable and able to do things then having to worry about it and pull it down every five minutes.
Shoes: These shoes are so comfortable! They go perfect with the outfit. There’s a golden rule that you want to be sure you follow when shopping for skirts. Never buy a shoe that is lighter then your skirt hem. In other words, picking a shoe that is the same color as your skirt isn’t the best idea. It doesn’t add any contrast and it makes you bottom body look one color which you don’t want. You can dress this outfit up with heels and some cute pair of earrings. Or, you can dress it down with some nice flats or even sandals if its still warm.
Any accessories that match this color scheme will go perfectly well. Try not to overbear the outfit with a lot of bright colors though. Let one thing be the “star” in your outfit. and in mine its the orange sweater!
In anything you decide to dress in, remember modesty is always best. Be sure to dress with respect for yourself first and then for respect for those who are around you and look at you. Having respect for yourself and dressing the right way but fashionable is one of the best things you could do!
I hope this helped you! Please be sure to leave some comments and tell me what you’d like most to know about and I’ll be sure to talk about it next time!
Until then!
Esperamos!
Bethany
